Katarzyna is a retired art teacher from Poland. We have aptly named her KATE the GREAT, because Kate is simply great.
Instead of leading a retired life in Poland, she decided to spend some time teaching children in Uganda after working in South Africa, Tanzania and Mozambique.
Project manager Malik introduced her to Sunnyside Primary School and the associated social project Nest Of Joy near Bombo, north of Kampala.
Kate can best be described with her favorite quote: “If you really want to help someone who is hungry, don’t buy them fish. Build a net with them!!!”
Teaching children is her passion and anyone who has seen her interact with children can see and feel it.
