Project 9/2025 – A Classroom in Nature

On October 11, 2025, we launched our next project: an open-air classroom on the Ssekyana Campus, part of the ever-growing Bastion High School. The covered area, furnished with school benches, offers students a special learning space for gardening and agricultural studies — and at the same time, a shady place to relax, read, or enjoy their meals during breaks.
In keeping with our sustainability goals, garden beds were created around the classroom. They serve as hands-on learning areas where students can explore plant cultivation, practice self-sufficiency, and experiment with new growing methods.

The project was led by Malik, together with school director Musa Sebunnya, teacher Mike Banyimba, and his students. As a thank-you gift, 80 packs of Afripads were donated to female students to support their continuous school attendance.

On November 6, 2025, the “Classroom in Nature” was officially inaugurated at the Ssekyana Campus in the Kawempe district of Kampala.
