After a large number of school desks at Bright Way Primary School in Kampala had been replaced, a new toilet block built, and an entirely new kitchen building completed with new cooking facilities, we had to ask ourselves: should our support end here?
There was still one thing missing – a suitable place for the children to spend their breaks.
After speaking with Head Teacher Harriet, the idea quickly took shape: another outdoor classroom would be the perfect solution, providing both a place to learn and a sheltered space for break times.
As always, project manager Malik made sure the idea was put into practice quickly and to a very high standard.
Now there really is only one thing left for us to do: finally visit Harriet and her pupils and experience the school in person.
