In a last-minute project, we had project manager Malik build 80 new school desks for Bastion High School in Kampala before the summer break. This covers the needs of around 240 pupils who would otherwise have to study either on ancient, unsuitable school desks or on the dusty floor. We have already been able to see this for ourselves on several visits to the school. The first school partnership between Uganda and Saxony was established at Bastion High School on 12.02.2024. The partner school on the German side is Oberschule Pausa.
All the school desks were handed over on 10.07.2025 to the delight of the pupils and teachers.
