Brimah High School in the Kawempe district of Kampala was one of the first schools we visited in February 2025, where we provided Afripads and new school desks. Alongside the overwhelming musical welcome from the Brimah students, it quickly became clear to us: the school, founded in 2020 with 7 students and now grown to 500 students and 30 teachers, lacked a way to collect rainwater.
After just a few days of construction, the new 10,000-liter water tank was inaugurated together with students and teachers by project manager Malik, director Arthur Atuwere, and headteacher Hamad Mawejje.
